The one job
AI Slop Blocker is a Chrome extension that hides YouTube recommendations already stamped with YouTube's official Made with AI disclosure. That is the only purpose. We do not sell data. We do not run ads. We do not build a profile of what you watch.
We do not sell data. We do not track people. The shared list is video IDs and channel IDs only.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use: we collect only what that single purpose needs. If that ever changes, we will say so in the extension before it starts, not only on this page.
What stays on your computer
If you never make an account, nothing we care about leaves your browser.
Each hidden card can also increment a public all-time counter on this site. That request sends no video ID, no channel ID, and no account. Just plus one.
The extension stores locally, in Chrome storage:
- whether Protection is on
- how many cards were hidden this session
- a short cache of video IDs already checked (about 7 days) so Home does not refetch the same watch page
- the session review list (channel name, channel ID, video ID) so you can Don't recommend a channel yourself
Uninstall the extension and that local data goes with it.
What the extension reads on YouTube
It only runs on youtube.com. It looks at the page you are already on for YouTube's own "How this was made", "Made with AI", and "Sounds or visuals were altered or fully generated" labels. Home cards often hide that stamp, so it may open the matching /watch page in the background, using your existing YouTube session, just to read the label. It does not log you in as us. It does not scrape the rest of the internet.
Don't recommend channel only runs when you click it in Review. It uses YouTube's own control on your account.
If you make an account
Accounts are optional. The extension works without one.
If you register we store:
- your email
- a password hash (we never see the plaintext password)
- a display name you pick (2 to 24 characters, unique, shown on the public scoreboard)
- whether Automatically submit is on (off until you turn it on)
Auth is handled by the site's database (Supabase on Lovable Cloud). Sessions use a token kept in the extension. We do not get your Google password or your YouTube password.
If you turn on Automatically submit
Off by default. Needs an account and an explicit switch in the popup.
When it is on, each newly hidden video can send only:
- YouTube video ID (11 characters)
- YouTube channel ID
No title. No thumbnail. No watch history. No list of what you actually played. Duplicates from the same account are ignored.
We use those IDs to build a shared list of officially labeled videos and to mark a channel predominantly slop when at least 90% of reported videos on it carry the official tag.
What is public
The homepage scoreboard shows the top 10 display names by unique video IDs submitted. Emails never appear there.
What we never collect
- your YouTube watch history
- videos you watched that were not hidden
- names, faces, or comments from YouTube
- location, contacts, or files
- anything from sites other than youtube.com and this site
This website
The marketing site is hosted by Lovable. We do not add our own ad pixels or third-party analytics. Lovable may log normal hosting requests (IP, user agent) to keep the site up. We do not use that to identify you.
Who can see it
The operator (Damnright) can see account emails and submission IDs in the database in order to run the list, fix abuse, and answer deletion requests. We do not sell this. We do not share it with advertisers. We may disclose it if the law requires it.
How long, and how to delete
Local extension data lasts until you clear site data or uninstall.
Account and submissions last until you ask us to delete them.
Email hello@damnright.io from the address on the account and say you want it gone. We will delete the profile and its submissions. The public scoreboard updates when that count disappears.
You can also turn Automatically submit off at any time. That stops new sends. It does not wipe old ones unless you ask.
Kids
Not for children under 13. Do not make an account if you are under 13.
Changes
If we start collecting something new, this page updates and the extension will ask before it uses the new thing. The date at the top is the last change.
